Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, thyme, basil)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

8 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta

Fresh basil, for garnish

Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Brown the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the dried italian herbs and cherry tomatoes; sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes begin to soften.

Add Cream and Broth: Lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well to combine and scrape the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits.

Incorporate Cheese: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

Cook the Pasta: In a separate pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine Everything: Slice the cooked chicken and add it back to the skillet with the sauce. Toss in the cooked pasta, stirring everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce.

Serve: Divide the pasta into serving bowls, garnish with fresh basil and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
