Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup ranch dressing (plus extra for serving)

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 whole wheat hamburger buns

Lettuce leaves (for garnish)

Tomato slices (for garnish)

Pickles (for garnish)

Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, black pepper, and salt. Use your hands to combine until just mixed—avoid overworking the meat.

Form Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1-inch thick.

Preheat the Skillet: Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Cook the Patties: Carefully place the patties in the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Toast Buns (Optional): In the same skillet, you can toast the hamburger buns for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Assemble Burgers: Place the cooked chicken patties on the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and a dollop of ranch dressing. Cap with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides like sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
