Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or tortilla wraps)

1/2 cup refried beans (optional)

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small bell pepper, diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing

Salsa and sour cream for dipping

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef (or turkey) over medium heat. Add in the onion, bell pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and taco seasoning. Cook until the meat is browned and vegetables are tender, about 6-8 minutes.

If using, add the refried beans to the skillet and mix well until heated through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Unroll the pizza dough on a floured surface or lay out tortilla wraps. If using dough, cut it into rectangles (about 3x5 inches).

Place a spoonful of the taco mixture on one side of each piece of dough, then sprinkle generously with both cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Be careful not to overfill.

Fold the dough over to cover the filling, sealing the edges by pressing with your fingers or a fork. If using tortillas, roll tightly, ensuring filling doesn’t escape.

Place the cheesy taco sticks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil or cooking spray to promote browning.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving with salsa and sour cream on the side for dipping.
