Ingredients

200g udon noodles

2 tablespoons chili oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 green onion, sliced

1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

Cook the Udon Noodles: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the udon noodles and cook according to the package instructions (usually about 4-5 minutes). Once cooked, drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.

Prepare the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the chili oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well to create a flavorful sauce.

Toss the Noodles: In a large mixing bowl or a wok, add the cooked udon noodles. Pour the prepared chili oil sauce over the noodles and toss well to coat evenly.

Garnish: Once the noodles are well-coated, add the sliced green onion and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Toss gently again to mix.

Serve: Plate the chili oil udon noodles, garnishing with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve with lime wedges on the side for a zesty finish.
